A background in finance is a distinct advantage for this position, but sales experience is a necessity. The advisor will be expected to give first class objective advice to clients, to run their accounts, and to maintain minimum levels of sales and persistency. As a financial advisor within Oxford you will have an entrepreneurial opportunity to build your own long-term business.
Full training will be given for both positions. This will include an initial course followed by considerable time spent with our specialists in each area. The level of training will be based on each individual’s requirements and will be ongoing.
The role of the co-ordinator is to assist their manager. A sales background is an advantage and although this is an office-based position, a good appearance is essential. Successful co-ordinators will be given the opportunity to graduate to the financial advisor position once they have shown sufficient aptitude.
